Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information FilmFool collects through filmfool.org, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
FilmFool is a film club and screening room at Office No. 905, Range Heights, Behram Baug Road, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400102, India. For any privacy question, write to bookings.filmfool@gmail.com.
What we collect and why
- Enquiry forms. When you use “Send Enquiry” or the “Special Consideration Enquiry” form, we receive what you type: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your message or film details. The form sends this to the FilmFool team by email so that we can reply. Submissions are also checked by an anti-spam service (Akismet).
- Messages you send us directly. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and whatever you choose to share.
- Visit statistics. The site uses Jetpack Stats to count visits and see which pages are read. This tells us how the site is used; we do not use it to identify you personally.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Services run by other companies
Some things you can do from this site happen on services we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply there.
- Film submissions are collected through Google Forms and need a Google sign-in.
- Tickets for screenings are sold through Urbanaut.
- WhatsApp links open a chat in WhatsApp.
- Instagram posts and Google reviews shown on our pages are loaded from those platforms.
- Fonts, images and videos are delivered by WordPress.com, Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts, which may receive your IP address when a page loads.
The site is hosted on WordPress.com (Automattic).
Cookies
The site uses a small number of cookies needed for it to work and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond and to manage our screenings, bookings and submissions, and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to bookings.filmfool@gmail.com and we will respond as required by applicable Indian data protection law.
Children
This site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
